Application Guide
HOW TO APPLY
Installing your Ghost Guard edge tape takes less than 5 minutes. Follow these steps for a clean, lasting bond that protects your paddle through every rally.
Clean the Edge
Wipe the perimeter of your paddle with a dry cloth or isopropyl alcohol wipe. Remove any dust, oils, or debris. A clean surface is key to a strong bond.
Measure & Cut
Hold the edge tape along the paddle edge to measure the length needed. Use scissors to cut the tape to fit, leaving a small overlap at the handle end. The length of Ghost Guard out of the package should fit most paddles without the need to cut.
Peel the Backing
Starting at one end, carefully peel back the adhesive backing. Work slowly — avoid touching the adhesive side with your fingers.
Apply & Press
Align the tape with the paddle edge and press firmly from one end to the other. Use your thumb to work out any air bubbles as you go.
Wrap the Overlap
Fold any excess tape neatly around the handle end. Press all edges firmly for a clean, finished look.
Let It Set
Allow 30 minutes before your first game for the adhesive to fully bond. Then get out there and play — your paddle is protected.
PRO TIPS
Apply in a warm environment — cold temperatures can reduce adhesive strength.
If a section lifts, press it back firmly and hold for 30 seconds.
Ghost Guard fits most standard pickleball paddles — no trimming needed for most shapes.
Replace your edge tape when you notice peeling or significant wear to keep protection at 100%.
